Kybella permanently destroys submental fat cells once fully processed. It is FDA-approved for moderate submental fullness — not a substitute for weight loss or neck lift surgery in severe laxity.
Most patients need two to four sessions spaced six to eight weeks apart. Each session involves multiple small injections and significant swelling for three to seven days.
Recovery Reality
The "bullfrog" swelling is normal and temporary. Plan social downtime accordingly. Numbness, firmness, and tenderness resolve over weeks.
